Jessica has taken a windy path in her screenwriting career, perpetually driven by a nagging feeling that she has more stories to tell. 

She finds purpose in creating female-driven tales of mystery and redemption as her characters figure out their way through morally challenging situations, heartache, and triumph.

Jessica continues to hone her craft, serving as a Story Analyst for HBOAccess (2019), and as a Screener/Judge for Disney’s Launchpad: Shorts Incubator (2019, 2021, 2024); she was also a panelist at the TV of Tomorrow show (2019), representing the storyteller side of showbusiness.

Beyond her writing and producing skills, Jessica comes from an executive-level background in digital media and emerging technologies.    She collaborates with major film studios, cable providers, and retailers helping them to adapt to the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Jessica is married and keeps pace with her energetic nine-year-old son.  As a Spanish speaker with a rich, multicultural heritage, she proudly embraces her first-generation Colombian roots.

In 2020, Jessica earned an M.F.A. in Film & Television Screenwriting from Emerson College following a certificate in Feature Film Writing from UCLA (2015).
